OutFox

Outfox is a marketing agency founded by people who already knew what good looked like. They needed a visual identity that matched their ambition without trying too hard. The result was a brand inspired by lino cut and Bauhaus geometry: confident, distinctive, and built to hold up across every channel they'd use it in.

Outfox is a strategic marketing and creative agency. Its founders came from Otter, a well-regarded agency with a strong track record.

They knew what they were doing commercially. They knew what they wanted the new brand to feel like. What they needed was someone who could translate that into a visual identity that stood apart in a market full of agencies trying to look like each other.

The brief: build a brand that projects confidence and creative rigour without leaning on trends or looking like it's trying too hard.

Solution

Incept developed the full visual identity for Outfox from the ground up.

Incept developed the full visual identity for Outfox from the ground up.

The design direction drew from lino cut printmaking and the Bauhaus movement, combining geometric letterforms with a bold, adaptable colour palette. Those references weren't chosen for aesthetic reasons. Geometric forms process faster than organic ones. They signal structure, precision, and confidence before a single word is read. For an agency selling creative rigour to clients who already know what good looks like, that processing shortcut matters.

The colour palette was built for distinctiveness rather than trend. In a category where most agencies default to black, white, and a single accent, a considered and unconventional palette creates pattern interruption. The brain notices what doesn't match its expectations. Outfox needed to be noticed by the right people for the right reasons.

Every element was built with longevity in mind. Trend-driven identities date fast. A system rooted in design history and clear geometric logic holds up across years and contexts.

Outfox launched with a brand identity that matched the calibre of the people behind it.

The mark is distinctive in a category where most agencies default to safe, templated visual language. It projects confidence without aggression, creativity without noise. The guidelines give the internal team enough flexibility to produce on-brand work without needing design support every time.

Clint is not only a brilliant concept designer and thinker, he is so easy to work with. He showed a deep understanding of our brand, values, and vision, translating them into a visually unique and cohesive identity.

The creative process was not just a transaction; it was a partnership. Clint took the time to listen to our concerns, and preferences, actively involving us at every stage.
