BlueSana

BlueSana had the product logic and the engineering plans. What they didn't have was a user experience that made a complex climate platform feel actionable without dumbing it down. We designed the full MVP across five core screens, built a scalable component system, and delivered dev-ready outputs their team could build from with confidence.

Client & Brief

BlueSana is building a smarter way to manage sustainability across supply chains. Their climate platform helps teams identify, act on, and measure carbon reduction, connecting financial and environmental outcomes through real data.

BlueSana is building a smarter way to manage sustainability across supply chains. Their climate platform helps teams identify, act on, and measure carbon reduction, connecting financial and environmental outcomes through real data.

They came to Incept with the core product logic and engineering plans already in place. What was missing was the experience layer: a clear user journey, a design system that could scale, and an interface that felt credible and usable from day one without oversimplifying the product underneath it.

This wasn’t a branding exercise. The platform needed to work for sophisticated users in complex organisations, people who would lose trust fast if the product felt lightweight or unclear.

Solution

Incept designed the full MVP UX and UI across desktop and mobile, covering five core feature screens: Dashboard, Discovery, Initiatives, Matching, and Insights.

Incept designed the full MVP UX and UI across desktop and mobile, covering five core feature screens: Dashboard, Discovery, Initiatives, Matching, and Insights.

Applied neuroscience shaped the approach throughout. Complex products lose users when they create cognitive overload, too many competing elements, unclear hierarchy, and no obvious next step. The design work focused on reducing that load at every decision point: clean information hierarchy, consistent visual patterns, and interaction logic that guided users without making them think harder than necessary.

Deliverables:

  • Customer journey mapping

  • Low-fidelity wireframes across all five feature screens

  • High-fidelity UI design focused on cognitive clarity, credibility, and consistency

  • Interactive prototypes to validate every user journey before build

  • Dev-ready component system built to scale with the product

  • Collaborative handover process aligned to BlueSana’s build timeline

Result

BlueSana received a complete MVP design system they could hand to developers and build from without second-guessing UX decisions mid-build. Design consistency held across multiple user types and feature sets.

The platform now looks, feels, and functions like a product that belongs in boardrooms, not backlogs.

That outcome matters beyond aesthetics. A climate platform operating in enterprise and supply chain contexts needs to project credibility from the first screen. Users in those environments make fast judgements about whether a product is ready for serious use. The MVP cleared that bar from day one.

No redesign required after handover. The component system was built to flex with the product as it scales, without needing to rebuild the design logic from scratch at each stage.
