Dusty Luxe
Dusty Luxe curates one-of-a-kind home décor and fashion pieces for style-conscious buyers. The challenge was twofold: build a website that communicated scarcity and exclusivity without feeling chaotic, and produce a PR kit that could open doors with media and collaborators. Incept handled both.

Client & Brief
The brief covered two separate but connected deliverables.
First, a Shopify-powered website redesign built around the brand's persona-driven customer base. The site needed to surface limited and unique pieces clearly, communicate scarcity without creating confusion, and give style-conscious shoppers a reason to act before a piece sold out.
Second, a press kit designed to introduce Dusty Luxe to media contacts and potential collaborators. It needed to capture the brand's aesthetic, tell the story clearly, and leave a strong impression on people seeing it for the first time.

Solution
Website
Incept led UX and UI design for the Shopify build with support from development partners.
The UX was built around Dusty Luxe's customer personas, ensuring the site mapped to how their buyers actually browse and decide. The interface was redesigned to bring unique and limited pieces to the front, with clear visual cues for scarcity. Sections for curated ranges were structured to feel editorial rather than transactional, reflecting the brand's boutique positioning.
Applied neuroscience shaped the conversion logic throughout. Scarcity is a genuine psychological trigger when it's communicated honestly. The design work focused on surfacing that scarcity clearly without manufacturing urgency that wasn't real.
PR Kit
Incept developed the press kit in close collaboration with Statement PR, who managed the communications strategy.
The kit was designed around white space and editorial hierarchy, letting the product imagery and brand story carry the weight. Font selection was carefully considered to balance Dusty Luxe's vintage aesthetic with a contemporary, polished presentation. The soft pink hero colour was used as an anchor across the kit to build consistency and visual recognition.
Copy integration was handled to ensure every piece of text worked with the layout rather than against it.
Deliverables:
Persona-based UX design
Full UI redesign for Shopify
Limited-availability and curated range experience
PR kit visual design
Brand story integration and copy direction
Creative direction across both deliverables

Result
Website
The Shopify site launched with a cleaner, more focused experience that matched the brand's boutique positioning. Unique and limited pieces were surfaced prominently. The scarcity logic was built into the UX rather than added as an afterthought.
Hard commercial metrics are not available for publication. The site gave Dusty Luxe a platform that reflected the quality of what they were selling, which is the baseline any boutique brand needs before conversion can be optimised.
PR Kit
The press kit opened new conversations with media and potential collaborators. Brand awareness improved within the target market. The kit gave Dusty Luxe a professional, cohesive tool for outreach that matched the aesthetic and positioned the brand credibly alongside more established lifestyle labels.
